2005 50tlr need more hp

I have a 2005 50TLR and I need a little more HP. Is there any way to increase the HP changing the carb jets and increasing the air flow?

I'll let some others talk about that - although I know that the difference between some models (at least with Merc's) could be as simple as intake/exhaust (or at least it used to be - haven't checked in quite a while, other than to know that the engine size is the same). But, what are you looking to do? Do you just need more "get up and go"? Where does your current MAX RPM come in at (and what's your spec'd WOT RPM range per Yamaha) with an average load?

look for nitrous kit if they make one for an 2 stroke outboard and see if you can blow it up.

But back to reality, if you need more HP buy a bigger outboard
