    It's funny how easily forums twist and turn.
    I got confused when I kept reading DC batteries(thought they all were; don't thing I know of an AC battery?)
    So I had to think again!!!

    There is good information referred to on this thread about batteries. Although I don't agree, it seems the internal or eternal resistance at various rates of charge or discharge makes for erratic voltage behaviour . The internal resistance of the battery has to be taken into account within a circuit , it seems to vary greater depending on its state of charge as well as it's age.
    So if I was compelled to give advice, earthing of regulator and lenght (resistance) of wires might cause this havoc I seem to be reading.

      DC= Deep cycle battery.
      24DC = group 24 Deep cycle battery...

      and remember how insistent I was about asking why a Deep cycle battery was not to be used...

      your on the right track tho... there seems to be less internal resistence with the chemical make up of a "seal" Flooded battery VS a Deep Cycle battery... that is if the interweb is correct.
