2003 yamaha 40 hp

I have installed new battery ..but I only get clicks when turning the key..sounds like they are coming from near the starter bottom but not the starter it self ...
the tilt trim up/down works fine...what next? are there fuses? solenoids? can I jump something to find the problem?

Check out all of your battery connection leads,thoughout if any are in anyway damaged or look burnt, change them, also make sure all off the connections are clean and tightened up

I suggest replacing your battery cables, especially ground. Not only are they most often the culprit, but also the cheapest cure. Even if not the problem, replacement is cheaper than paying for their diagnosis. Bad cables often lead to bad batteries.
