Looks to be a 1977 model year motor.

What wires are you referring to? Wires on the motor or wires from the motor to the boat?

If wires to and in the boat, what devices do these wires go to? Gauges? Control box? Warning lights?

Do you have any experience working on Yamaha outboard motors or any of brand of two stroke outboard motor?

What is the motor doing or not doing?

I don't have much experience, I know what some parts are for but cant seem to understand the wiring system. I was able to get the motor on by asking friends and ppl online. This is what I see on the motor model. But my title has a different model #.
