Just a spritz is in the memory bank now, good to know.
Water supply to the lower unit water pick up correct??
Interesting it started up as normal...
Check those #'s for the fuel pump.
Unfortunatly, although its running again, there is still an issue that would be nice to find (before you get stuck again). Until you get rid of that original "sluggish" performance, (likely fuel related), I'd be checking that re-call, etc...Last edited by TownsendsFJR1300; 09-04-2014, 05:51 PM.Scott

yes, I remove a half inch bolt ,right above the grease fitting ,its an adapter that screws in to where the bolt was and attach hose .
very interesting it started ,something is up for sure ,intermittent maybe for now, maybe something going bad????
No fun getting stuck ,lucky to have a *****ing motor and wasnt all that far from ramp to get back.
What do you mean check# for fuel pump???
I appreciate the help ,but do you think I should take it in to get diagnosed?
Im willing to do more ,dont know how much pressure gauges are ,and in the end
I could spend a lot of money and still not figure it out .
Your advice????

Gonna try the starter fluid right now ,real quick to see if it turns over ,Ill be back
Your motor is covered by technical bulletin O2010-007 and shows up as the bulletin not having been done.
The bulletin calls for the replacement of the fuel pump.
If you are the second owner have the dealer that services your motor transfer ownership to you.

See Boscoes post above for your FREE NEW FUEL PUMP. ^^^^
BTW, run the engine with muffs on the lower unit. That's where the engine picks up the water to cool the engine. If the WATER pump is not lubed with water while running, you will burn it up...

BTW, you can flush the engine with that attachment, NOT RUNNING, but if the water does NOT trickle down to the impeller, it will burn it up... It needs to be lubricated...Scott

you walk into any real Yamaha dealership with your engine PID and have them run it.
any recalls or updates done or not done show up.
actually if the motor was properly registered your selling dealership should have received a notice from Yamaha and you should have been notified.
