Does anybody know if I have to remove the complete powerhead in order to remove the crank case pan to get to the rod bolts? I have one of my pistons that broke off a piece of piston ring so I need to access my rod bolts

Why would you not pull the powerhead to rebuild it???

gunz@pc My machinist told me he got a broken piece of piston ring in my cylinder head valve but I can’t see it being just that. None of my pistons are broken. Just want to verify if piston ring is broken or not

Yes, the power plant has to be removed to gain access to the pistons and connecting rods.
