I understand the dashpot on this engine dampens the throttle when you let off too quickly to prevent the engine from stalling, but how does it actually work because i see 4 hoses coming off the dashpot diaphragm and going to each carburetor. Where it connects to on the carburetor is a passage that goes down to the main nozzle at the bottom of the bowl, so it must affect bowl pressure some how? And if it is only for deceleration, then how do these carburetors feed more fuel on quick throttle opening? How does it do the function of an actual accelerator pump on other carbs that pump a quick spray of fuel?
