Will a lower unit from a 1996 50 hp bolt onto my Pro 50?

What are the part numbers for the two lower units?

Thanks for the reply. I did do a search and unfortunately the numbers are different. I was hoping to find out if even though the numbers are different does that mean they won't work? Are the mounting holes the same? driveshaft the same? That is the kind of info I am searching for.

Looking at the parts fisch, there's a long shaft and a short shaft lower unit option...

It says ALL the engines that lower unit will fit..
