Adjust reverse, 20HP 1992.

Hi, i got a 20HP 1992. After the previous owner changed impeller. the reverse only work sometimes. Dont really know how adjust it? is it on the rigg? Also, the sprint. that should hold the reverse is really loose. on the pic its not fixed. but even if it is it, its still loose. I will post some pics.
Hope you understand what i mean, my English is not the best.

Do i adjust there? seems like can only loose Everything up more? (no thread below that nut)

That is where you adjust. I suspect there is a spring missing for the reverse lock..that is why the rod won't stay on. 20190723_172516.jpg20190723_172516.jpg

You need lower unit in reverse and shift rod in reverse...then connect them together with the barrel nut and then lock with jam nut.

Im gonna measure today, see if im the 3.5-5.0mm range in reverse.

Think something is seriously wrong. Did measure. Its over 1 cm. (10mm) and cant adjust it more....
