Yamaha 25hp 1993 oil mixture 50:1 or 100:1??

Hi guys,

I've been checking all over the place for an answer and nobody can give a definite answer. Asked a couple of mechanics and they won't agree between them too.

I have a 1993 Yamaha 25hp 2 stroke (blue cowling), not autolube, can you please confirm what is the correct oil mixture - 50:1 or 100:1.

The problem is the engine is bogging at full throttle and I am suspecting this is from the oil mixture. Already cleaned the carburetor, new set of spark plugs. Any other ideas maybe?

Have you checked your float level ? Did you check if the primer bulb stays full after running ?

Bogging is not caused by oil mix...probably dirt in carb jets. Mixture should be fine at 50:1.....

50 to 1

check compression, spark, and timing to make sure all is good.
then chase fuel problem if no other problems are found
