Hour Meter hook up.

Would the Yellow wire that goes to the Tach from a 703 Control work for and hour meter also.
It is a 12v key on for power wire? ( if I researched right)
(going with some type of after market hr. meter)

Yes, it will work. In fact, if you look at a typical Yamaha gauge harness it will have three female connections available so that other gauges besides a tachometer can be powered when the key switch is on.

But remember, if someone turns the key on and forgets to turn it off then hours will be logged on the hour meter.

Yeah I'm going to make my own harness from my controls to my console and I'm going to make it with 3 connectors so if I want to add something later I can just plug in.
