I am installing a tilt and trim kit ! I’m unsure of orientation of seal that is below the dust cap seal ? When I removed it I wasnt able to see which way it faced ! Does the flat side of seal face up ! It seems to me that would be the logical way , but I want to be positive befor I re-install new seal !

This is on the cap , that you remove with spanner wrench ! There is a seal on top which you can see , one in middle and o-ring on the bottom ! Just to clarify!

Yes it is part 19 ! I can’t find any good pics to show orientation of seal ?

Whats the best way to bleed the air out ?

1. Extend the rams fully - if necessary, "helping" by pulling them out with your fingers
(don't scratch the sealing surface by grabbing them with pliers)

2. when all three are fully extended, remove the reservoir cap and fill to overflowing. Replace cap.

3. now fully retract the rams - if necessary, "helping" push them in,
and if necessary open the manual valve.

repeat steps 1,2,3 as many times as needed until system works normally.

I thought the manual said to fill the rams as you put them back together, and then bleed the rest of the air out as indicated

I did a complete evacuation of fluid ! What is approximate ounces it needs to refill ?

That's pushing it a bit...till it is full, no air and working properly. So however much that turns out to be.

IIRC a quart bottle of ATF is sufficient - maybe a little more...
