Went out 32 miles on Saturday and no problems. On Monday was going to do the trip again. When we were going to the marina to gas up the 225 Yamaha 4stroke started surging and sputtering at low idle. We filled the boat up with gas and started the motor the same thing, when we got it up over 1300 rpms it ran fine. We then went to the mechanic at the next marina and he put the computer on the motor and said the intake sensor was showing up as bad. We had a new intake sensor installed and checked the wiring harness to make sure it was alright. Then the motor would not run at all. $275.00 later we put the boat on the trailer took it to a Certified Yamaha Mechanic. He had it for about 3 days and checked the filters and the hose fittings said he found a split in the hose where it made a connection. Picked the boat up after the shop had closed and put it in the water cranked it up and it was still doing the same thing $475.00. I now in to this repair $732.00. PLEASE HELP!!!
