One day by accident I spilled Yamaha lube on the exterior of my engine. I have found this accidental method does a better job then wax in producing a clear shine. Also just a small amount of Yamaha lube is necessary.

Thanks for the tip - but are you talking about Yamaha oil or grease?
Also, I think there are some pretty strong additives in both - might want to see what happens over time to that small spot before you do the entire motor.

I am speaking about yamaha oil. I have used this technique for a number of years over two engines.

why not...
a littel bit of diesel on a cloth makes miracles on on worn out lacker...only the infiroment groups will go crasy...Hmmmm
