I have a C90TLRY that the alarm comes on and starts acting like its missing when I run the motor for about 2 mins at 3500-max rpm. I can putt around all day long at lower speeds with no alarms but after about 10-15 mins, the motor will loose power, bogging down and will not go fast at all but will putt along with throttle wide open..i sometimes notice like 2 different tones..is this for two different probs like oil/ temp or ???...please help???....FYI..motor was like new when purchased ran very good but it did this a couple times after i bought it and I was told that Yamaha's were bad about that (I'm thinking Yeah..FOR A REASON)....Then, I hit something with prop and bent prop shaft!!.. So I had rebuilt the lower unit and had shaft straightened and replaced all bearings, shifter parts, all seals and gaskets and all water pump parts completely and all works really good, Good shifting Good water pump pee stream and all..Now the alarm is coming on and bogging down more frequently?????

C90TLRY alarm issues
thanks for the reply...i had just completely rebuilt the lower unit including the water pump with all brand new parts and works fine with good pee stream and all... I think your right about the thermostat and pressure control valve and will replace it all... probably wouldn't hurt to completely flush out the motor also...thank you very much for the info!!!
