All I could find for the 1990's, 70hp are TWO STROKE engines. There's oil in the auto lube tank, in the lower unit. ???

Is it a four or two stroke, should be a model # on a plate on the side of the transome bracket.

If not snap a pic and post it...

According to my book, that serial number range equates to a 1985 model.

If it has a dip stick in the crankcase, usually yellow, and oil reqisters on the Hash marks on the stick, (Like your car), its a 4 stroke.

If it has a rubber looking drive belt running inbetween the crankshaft and two larger pulleys, its a 4 stroke.

The drain plug for the engine oil is usually recessed into a rubber tube, toward the rear of the engine. The tube would be angled outward and large enough to reach a socket in there (probably a 14mm).

For the 1985 models, I could only find a 2 stroke in the above fisch look up.

A picture uploaded from your computer would make things much easier....(Under the cowl hood)

Where/ what country are you located in?

                      A 6H3 prefix Yamaha is a 70 two stroke.

                      Carburetor drain plug?

                      Lower unit drain plug?

                      Oil tank drain plug?

703 is one model of a control box.
