Maybe covered already, but the engne HAS TO BE RAISED AND HELD UP on the mechanical bracket (that lets the engine rest while tilted up).
All the rams HAVE TO BE EXTENDED and then the cap removed and filled. To bleed, you'd raise the motor (hydralically), raise it up and down and top off fluid ALWAYS WHILE THE ENGINE IS UP, (all rams extended) held up with the mechanical linkage.
If it won't do that, there's an issue elsewhere.
Good luck..
The only other thing that may possibly work, remove the unit from the bracket. Then use the exact same procedure to bleed the system however, you don't have the weight of the engine on the hydralics. (If you need to manually push the rams in, that's fine while trying to evacuate the air) Once all the air is out, re-install to the main bracket/engine. You can wire direct to a 12 volt battery if easier and reverse wires for the opposite direction..Last edited by TownsendsFJR1300; 07-05-2014, 01:04 PM.Scott

The filler cap has to be re-installed before doing ANY UP AND DOWN power operations. You shouldn't be loosing a drop, period...
The only time it (the filler cap) should be off is when the pistons are fully out and thats to check or top off fluid.
If they suck back in (with the cap installed) cycle the unit up and down electrically, then top off fluid AGAIN, with the rams extended..Scott

Its also NOT unusual to have to raise and lower the rams several times to flush out the air(4-5 times generally)Scott
