bobs machine nosecone and low water pickup

bobs machine shop sportsman nose cone and pickup. any one have any first hand experience ?

If you are asking about speed, I belie it helps 60+ mph boats more than slower ones.
On my Hydrostream Vking w/225 Excel I only picked up 2 mph over the stock lower unit (87 to 89 mph). A bit more stable also as I could raise the motor higher. Also mine had a torque tab on the skeg which helps some with the steering torque since the regular trim tab is out of the water.

However, I need to do some more testing as I was tickling the rev limiter. (need to snip the wire)

Not really interested in the speed advantages more about the cooling benefits. Anyone have any experience there?

you need to be looking at something totaly different for your over heat problem, adding a low water pick up will not help if you are not running motor up out of the normal level
