Tachometer problem

Hi All,I have just bought a KUS 6000 rpm range white face tachometer.K-Y07106 I have connected it as per instructions,to my 60hp Feto 2 stroke,Yamaha.1998 app. The reading are all over the place, I,ve tried setting at speed ratio 3 and 6, and have checked rectifier and its ok. can anybody tell me if this tachometer can be used on 2 stokes and if at what settings, Thanks in advance,

Found Tacho problem, it seems it does matter which side the green wires are connected to the rectifier,On this model.... switched them around and it now work fine,
