  • Where's this go?? 2006 F150 TXR

Ok gents, while replacing the Yamaha fuel filter (under the cowl), I found this part (cover) sitting down in the lowest end of the front of the engine(adjacent to the shifter shaft).

Its likely been there since new.

I looked all over the front of the engine harness and couldn't find anything close to it fitting. There was a very small amount of brownish grease inside.

Its obviously a cap to protect an un-used harness.

I do NOT have the Yamaha fuel management set up, just the regular gauges (speed, tach, etc).

    Everything works fine.

    Any idea's??

    Tks ahead of time..

It looks like the cover that snaps on the nut that connects the red wire to the starter. Maybe?

Probably just there to prevent any accidental contact with a screwdriver/tool?...

Wasn't sure where you meant but between that and Boscoes post(and part #), that sure appears to be it!

Thank you gentlemen, don't think I would have found that spot on my own.

Never had the starter out so I suspect when they rigged it, it got dumped down there...

Its raining and thundering right now, tomorrow am, I'll put it back..
