flashing engine with garden hose

1995 txrt 200. I was under impression that flushing has to be done engine down, not tilted up, to prevent water into cylinders via exhaust. In manual it says tilted up. may I confused it with other engine model.

Not sure how you can flash a motor as it has no eyes to see what you are showing it. I think that is a little perverted.

But never heard of tilting motor up to flush, maybe it is due to some motors needing to flush while boat is still in water
