bird nest under motor cover

Just discovered a large bird's nest inside my motor cover on my 2004 yamaha 150 4 stroke. Is a screen available to prevent this?

Yamaha offers storage covers.

Other companies offer covers that have screened inlets so that the motor can be run with them installed while the screen will keep the critters out.

Be glad it was not dirt daubers that got under the engine cover. They can make a mess and their mess can damage engines.

You could cut a block of foam rubber to cram in there when motor's not being used....just remember to remove it to start motor....
