2002 F25ESHA Fuel Filter(s)

I am a newbie to outboards and am doing a bit of maintenance to my motor. I see the single inline fuel filter (strainer) and am unable to locate another. Does this motor have another fuel filter?

It appears that just the one fuel filter is used in your model.

Be glad it is not an HPDI.

An F25ESHA by design is a Yamaha four stroke 25 HP motor with electric start, short shaft, tiller handle, model year 2002.

I didn't see the title info. You can install an aftermarket fuel-water separator in the fuel line prior to your fuel line bulb if desired. Sierra makes one for around $50 - $60.

Thanks folks. I found it interesting that this motor has only the inline filter (strainer). It has been replaced, along with all the fuel line and the bulb. yay. I don;t see a need for a separator . . yet. I use only non-ethenol fuel. If a problem arises then I may install one.

Actually the addition of the water/fuel separator would be easy and excellent preventive maintenance...the Walmart/Attwood unit for $28 would work fine....
