  • Prop for my 115 on a hurricane 226

I need a spare prop for my yamaha outboard. It's a 115 4 stroke on my 226f hurricane fun deck boat. Also, how do I hook up a water temperature gauge for this motor.

Go to this site and put in all your information. It'll give you the correct prop for the boat:

After you find whatever propeller that Yamaha used testing a similar sized boat as yours with an F115, select a pitch that is at least two inches less than what Yamaha used.

Note that test boats are lightly loaded. They don't represent real world operating conditions.

To test the propeller and motor, load the boat up. Take the motor to WOT and trim out to the most efficient trim angle. Note the engine RPM. Should be at or near 6000 RPM.

Install the gauge at the dash.

Install the temperature sender on the motor. Route the wire harness to the gauge.
