Timing indicator on CDI box

Man I need that service manua to show up... I thought the timing max advance and max retard were set with the screws with the rubber stoppers.

im almost dug out so I’ll throw the timing light on it tomorrow hopefully.

I thought the screws limit how far the wiper moves.
I may need to go look at my C40 to make sure

So got the motor out. Runs awesome at everywhere but idle. Still working a few bugs out.

that little pointer does adjust timing as I checked with a timing light. I disconnected the link and moved it around when idling.

True piston TDC is about 1/2 degree off the mark on the flywheel, but I set the idle timing to 8-9 degree ATDC.

will check WOT later.
