2006 f115aet delayed cranking upon start up

I am experiencing intermittent delayed cranking upon start up...when key switch is turn to start,it may takes 1-2 seconds before starter energizes...has anyone experience this?

Could be the contacts in the ignition switch.

Do you hear the relay click as soon as the key is turned? The starter relay on the engine. May help to remove the cowl to hear it.
