  • Trim indicator

The trim gauge for my 2006 115 no longer matches the position of engine. When fully in down position gauge reads 3 not 0.

Check the sender. It can be adjusted.

Yours may be out of adjustment, it may be broken or the trim cam might be broken.

Don't know the model # for your engine, but part #3 is the sender unit(for an 06 115):

An exact model # would make it easier to find on the parts fisch

On the above engine, Part #1 is likely the adjustment. If made of plastic (the older style) they tend to break and NOT hold their position(thus the change). The updated part #1, is not plastic and won't break.
Likely part #1 adjusts, (don't know for certain) but between the two, one will adjust. Again, look close for any cracks in part #1, it won't tighten down fully and continue to move..
