225TXRP inline fuel check valve?

When we took delivery of our 1991 yamaha 225 we tested the engine. We found a check valve inline between the fuel tank and powerhead inside the engine...this valve was stuck shut so we removed it.

Now i'm trying to order new parts and see no mention of such a valve in the manuals and parts lists...can someone correct me? or was this most likely aftermarket?

I want to make sure we get pressure/float rates correct.

if your talking about the valve between the filter outlet and the lift pump inlets, leave it out.
I typically unscrew them,dump the guts out and reinstall it.

OK, I finally found it a drawing. This one is from the factory manual (so it says) and in the lower image it's show with the red arrow I drew.

Any ideas and/or part number? Not seeing it in the parts schematic!

Or is it not really needed at this location?
