I was given a used boat with a 1985 70ETLK outboard. Both the boat and motor need some work. The lever shaft on the oil pump was partially pulled out. After removal of the pump it appears the pin that holds the shaft in is gone. I can buy a new oil pump but it looks like the oil pump link rod is not the original and is slightly too long. I believe this was putting pressure on the shaft (pulling it outward) and wore the pin out.
I can replace the oil pump but need to replace the oil pump link rod (6H3-41241-00-00) but it is not available anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions for someplace to buy used or a replacement. Thanks.
