2000 250 2 stroke

In a small seperate harness that goes to the engine I have a blue and black wire. Just put these engines on and not sure what was on previosly. Any idea where they go?

what did you use to have on the boat and what are you putting on it now?
are the harnesses what came on boat or new?

I believe if you look up colors on Yamaha if that is what you are dealing with, blue is choke, among other things

I just got the boat but I was told it had newer Yamaha 4 strokes. I put 2000 Yamaha 2 stroke 250's on it and all wiring matches up except for these. The same on both motors. Thanks

some of the older stuff used a blue and a black wire for the optional temp gauge.

that engine goes back on the way back machine.
