Clean spark plug

So i pulled my spark plugs out the other day doing some general maintenance and i noticed one was clean like it came out of the box. So i did a compression check and they all came back in the mid 90's. Next i hooked up an in line spark tester and i had spark. So then i i let the motor run and sprayed some wd40 in the carb to see if the idle changed. No change except for some smoke, so i think i have covered the basics (compression, spark, and fuel) so i think it must be getting water in there via the head gasket. Am i on the right track? The motor is an 150 extd 1990 and the head gasket has never been changed.

water will typically leave deposits, crusty orange/red and with salt water small green spots on the ground electrode.

lack of fuel will leave oil.

kind of sounds he it leading to lack of oil maybe?

The strange thing is the plug shows no signs of wear at all. Wouldn't the plug show some signs of firing. How would i check to see if its getting oil. The cylinder on the other side of the carb is defiantly getting oil and the plug shows normal signs of wear.

okay pulled that oil tube off and seemed to have a steady flow of oil. whats next? need help?

I'm having the same issue on my 89 150 precision blend flat top. I tested the continuity of electricity and there's no spark being sent from the coil. I swapped it for another coil that IS working and still no electricity. Any suggestions?

Have u checked your coil?
