What is this socket?

Been looking in the manual for 6 and 8hp 2 strokes, but can't find any mention at all of the pictured socket.

That is it for? I didn't think these little engines had an alternator and reg/rec for charging.

I would say A/C lighting,unless a rectifier has been added.
