Computer diagnosis for Yamaha Outboard

Could some advise how to start with making computer diagnosis to Yamaha Outboards.

Eg. where to buy cable and software? And what type of cable and software is suitable for F100. I propose normal laptop computer is suitable for this use.
Also any other tips in this regard would be very appreciated.

Seems that EBay provides yds kits for this purpose.

Anyone knows if its possible to raise the idle speed with yds?

ANY Yamaha outboard that can be acessesd with YDIS, has NO repeat NO idle speed adjustment.
it works or its simply broke.

you correctly set the throttle shutters, most four strokes will require a multi channel manometer, correctly set the TPS with a DVM and it either idles correctly or its broke.
no idle speed adjustments on any EFI or DFI Yamaha outboards.
