70hp oil injection problem

I've got a 2007 2stroke 70, its while sitting overnight with the motor tilted up it leaks oil into the carbs and will smoke horribly when started. Recently went out and after running and smoking bad the engine cut off and was extremely hard to get running again. Pulled the air cleaner and upon doing so probably 2 tablespoons of oil came out. Any pointers before I start pulling the oil injection system apart?

I would think there should be some check valves in the system to keep the oil from gravity feeding

there are check valves. they most likely have at least one out of three that have failed.
