Was given a boat with twin 200hp 2 strokes, 25 inch shafts.
Counter rotating lower unit was missing.
I have ordered a replacement unit and attempted to replace it but have met resistance as shaft will not go in completely.
Removed the unit and it appears that mud daubers got up in there.
Ran a hose and attempted to clean it out that way but there is still some resistance, light tan sediment washes out.
Can a power washer jet be used to clean this out without harming engine.
Or, what I would prefer to do if there is a simple way, access the section where the shaft seats and clean it out..
Any suggestions?
