  • Motor re starting when hot problems

Hey I have a Yamaha fourstroke 30hp jet drive and I知 haveing issues with I believe fuel. I can start it up and run it to my destination usually about 20-30 minutes then I値l shut it off for a while and when I go too restart it sometimes it値l start and then just die and then won稚 start again. So I値l try opening the screw on the bar and draining it and a shit load of bubbles come out and will usually start right up but sometimes takes a few tries starting it. Then sometime it値l go all day with out doing it ? Any info would help thanx in advance!

A year, model #, two stroke, four stroke, etc, would help to look up your engine. (carbed, FI'ed, etc).

I suspect your talking about a FUEL RAIL?

No I meant to say the vapour separator. Still can稚 figure it out and no one else can has gotten worse. Starts up first try first run of the day but once I shut it off and it sits for a while it won稚 start I値l turn it over for a while n let it sit again then all of a sudden it will start up. It痴 a 40/30 jet drive 4 stroke

Need the complete model of the motor. ID number would be even better.

Hard to diagnose something when we don't know what it is.

                try cleaning the fuel cooler.
they do clog, more on jets.

might explain how you tested the water flow thru the fuel cooler

So how did you make sure the outlet side of the cooler tubing had good flow once hooked up to the cooler?

you need to make sure where that flow goes back to is open also

depends on where that exit hose hooks up to.
what if where it goes back into is plugged up and does not let the water flow as it should?
