Just joined the forum. Have bout a little 14fg day fishing boat with a colleague at work. We recently bought 2 engines a yamaha 15hp as main and a mariner 4hp ads an aux both 2 stroke and long shaft. I was wondering whether any of you knowledgeable people could tell me what the engine is and how easy to convert a tiller to remote. Thank you

sell it on flea bay and buy what you actually want.
no easy or cheap way to convert it.

does it have the original stickers/plates on it with model and serial #s?

No i believe the plate your referring to was located by the propeller as my mate has said that the rivets are there but plate has gone, would there be an engine number
stamped on the engine somewhere.Comment

pics of the engine may help. the paint looks like it is an international market engine not a US market.\

purchasing motors that the id plates have been removed from may be buying stolen property,
makes it hard to trace and ID.
