Primer bulb to start?

My 1999 Yamaha C90 has always required priming with the bulb on the first start of the day, but thereafter the rest of the day, no priming required....A couple of times this week after motor was off for 30 minutes or an hour the motor required bulb priming....what are you guys best guess at the problem?....an old/sticky primer bulb, bad connection somewhere?...everything seems O.K., but the primer bulb and fuel lines are all 1999 original equipment....any ideas?..

!5 year old rubber parts, i would replace everything from tank to motor due to age.

To find an air leak all the connections need to be removed anyway.
Replace everything then see if the problem is still present.

Fuel filter seals can be a source of a leak too.
