Hello, I am looking for a replacement ignition switch for a 1999 Yamaha C60TLRX. I believe mine has finally given up the ghost. I turn the key to start and nothing happens with the motor. If I give it a good jiggle while in the start position the motor will crank and start. Not all the time, but some times. With the motor off and the key is in the on position, the volt meter stays at 0 and jumps up to 12 and then back to 0 and then to 12. The rubber nipple that covers the key slot disappeared a while ago. This past winter we had a few ice storms and I think the combination of moisture getting in to the switch and freezing has killed it. I've tried looking for a replacement, but have been unsuccessful. I pulled my old switch out and I do not see any part numbers on it. Anyone know what the ignition switch part number is for a 1999 C60TLRX?

The ignition switch type is not tied to the motor.
Do you have a 703 side mount control box or a 704 top mount control box?
Go here and you should be able to find the switch that you need.

Thanks for the reply. I have a 704 control box. I do have an electric choke (push in key). Following the link, it looks like I would need part number 704-82570-08-00 PANEL SWITCH ASSY w/CHOKE.Comment
