  • Preventive maintenance?

    Hello all
I have a 2005 200 hp ox66 (ss II) outboard. I am there is apprx 500 hours on the outboard. The OB runs great and I am NOT experiencing any cooling issues.
I have read a lot about the thermostats and poppet valve. My question is should I replace the tstats and poppet valve as preventative maintenance? Or since I have no issues, should I leave em alone.?
Btw at 4400 rims my h2o pressure is about 22.
I am also planning on replacing the lp fuel pumps, VST filter, water pump, and cleaning the O2 sensor. Any other preventative maintenance I should consider?
One more question. Best place to order parts?
Thanks in advance for any and all tips tricks and help!

I would follow what Yamaha recommends

click on the red purchase Yamaha parts at top of page and order right here

Probably best to go ahead and do all the items mentioned, then you have a "preventive maintenance base line/starting point"....

          really, you asked that?
I would say dog it till it dies.

there is a maint schedule in the stickies.

note the period is hourly OR yearly whichever comes FIRST.
