When I had my engine (SX200TXRB) winterized last fall, my mechanic said one of my thermostats was stuck open and that one cylinder head was running cold. I have a Seloc manual and it looks pretty simple to just replace the thermostat - figure I should change both thermostats out while I'm in there. Any tricks to this repair? Do the gaskets need sealant? Should I also replace the pressure control valve or is there a way to test that before replacing? Thanks.

the t stats are simple, I dont use any sealant on the gaskets, just make sure the surfaces are cleaned off good, and always take the pressure control valve apart and clean, it is easy to do and necessary, make sure you pull the grommet out and clean under it as well, be careful putting it back in, dont drop it into the block, 2 90 deg. scribes make this a simple job as well,,
