Oil leak from spark plug

Ok I have a 2000 150hp ox66. I'm seem oil leaking from my 2 of my spark plug. It's probably from me not torque the spark plug. When I go try to torque them . I can't remember on top my head but I believe it 18 ft lb. it seem like I'm going to pull the tread on the head cover. So I stop before it pull the tread. Should I just go ahead a try to torque them to 18ft lb.

either improper torque or the plug gasket is bad.
actually that gasket, also called a fire ring, is only designed to crush and seal once.
