I have a 2005 Yamaha VZ225TRLD, ENGINE STARTS FINE DROP IT IN GEAR TAKES OFF BUT BEFORE IT GETS UP ON PLANE IT SPUTTERS AND WANT TO DIE

Have you checked anything , what did you do when it started to die? You need to find out if your running out of fuel?

your running out o gas.
be it a low level in the VST, a clogged medium pressure filter or the HP pump filters.
but if you do not fix the fuel issue you may get to post about piston detonation.

my low pressure fuel pumps are new and have about 55lbs of pressure, where would the medium pressure filter be located, i'm not sure if i'm ready to tackle the HP pump filter myself.

I know your not ready to tackle the HP pump.
the medium pressure filter is between the VST and the HP pump.

should I take it off and toss it in the trash or is there a way to check it and clean it ?
