  • F115tlrc -Alarm - Limp Mode - No codes on YDS

Got a 04 Yamaha F115, fresh water, 1296 HRS. I've got loss of power and an alarm. Ran YDS 1.33 and no codes. I'll paste several engine monitor results below to see what sticks out at yall. I've just replaced thermostat, checked pressure relief valve, impeller was replaced this summer. I've changed oil ect.. I've also gone through all electrical connections, with batter disconnected, cleaned all connections with electrical cleaner, applied dielectric grease..... I havn't put a gauge on to check oil pressure but have changed oil pressure switch and I'm still getting alarms. I also jumped/grounded the oil switch with no results. Is it supossed to say OFF or ON on the YDS program? It said OFF and when I jumped, grounded wire to oil switch housing, it turned ON. Still no good results.

Well, boat was ran on the river while I wasn't there today. No alarms went off but still not getting up on plane and lacks power when trying to load on the trailer.

I think I'm being presumptuous by saying "Limp Mode". I'm gonna go through the whole fuel system: clean injectors, check hoses ect and VST screen. I'll post back with results.

Does anybody see anything suspicious or out of spec on the info above or is there anything I need to do to provide more information?

I appreciate the help. We use this motor on a 21' flat bottom for commercial fishing area rivers and lakes.

either you had the oil pressure switch shorted or you have an issue on the first two screen shots.

Yes I had it shorted on those two. Thanks Rodbolt17 obviously I don't have a working knowledge of the YDS. I assumed that seeing it off there was a problem. And low and behold that's why there was no alarm yesterday, it wasn't shorted and just "bogging" down while goin down the river... I'll be working on cleaning injectors ect soon..

        Thanks

Problem Resolved: Pulled the intake, VST (Vapor Separation Tank), and injectors.... I did a reverse flush and then forward flush on all injectors. Pulled the screen out of the VST and cleaned it too. I have to be honest and say that nothing really jumped out at me indicating that anything was very bad. But it appears that the problem was in the fuel. Took it back out to the river and she's back to full fuel power again.
