What 2 stroke oil for C85

I just purchased a boat recently that has a 1996 C85, previous owner used Quicksilver oil. Is this fine or would I benefit from a better oil, maybe synthetic? Thanks

What oil are you talking about? For pre mix or gearcase?

If is for mix with fuel I use any TC-W3 oil on my 30 autolube (precision blend) with no problems at all (the cheapest preferably)

For gearcase use SAE 90 oil

I guess my question should have been what 2 cycle oil is better for older yamaha 2 stroke. That said, after doing more searching, I believe I will be switching to Pennzoil Premium or XLF. Thanks
