2013 20hp four stroke no power in drive can't plane!!

I am familiar with using a timing light to set base timing and such... But what am I looking for to see that timing is in fact advancing...

Put the light where the timing marks are and advance the throttle (running). The timing SHOULD ADVANCE with the higher RPM's..
