Hi all. New to the forum here. I have a 2003 8hp manual four stroke and was wondering if there is some way that I can put some sort of charging system on it to keep the battery up when *****ing and using my electric Scotty's. Any help. Thanks in advance.

yes it can be done.
it will be the most expensive 6 amps you ever buy.

And, after spending mucho dinero to get the measly 6 amps (at beast) I don't see 6 amps as keeping up with the demands of a *****ing motor and down riggers.

Will you be *****ing at WOT so that you can get full output (6 amps) from the charging system?

Oh, OK. No it wouldn't be at "WOT". Mostly just above idle or a little more.

That is what I would have suspected. At idle or slightly above you might see an amp or two. Won't be much.
