After cleaning carbs and installing, when I crank the engine, it goes wide open with no throttle control. What would cause this?

Carb linkeages out of adjustment???

are the throttle plates on carbs closed when this happens?
might check then and also the timing linkage between the CDI and carbs

I didn’t adjust the linkages because I never had to do this before. Just cranking in neutral, at idle position on the throttle and when I crank , it ru s away wide open. I even tried con*****ing it by hand to no avail??

Anyone know where I can get a service manual without having to pay an arm and a leg?
