  • FX20LE trim gauge not working

Trim guage on dash is measuring halfway when the motor is in any position. I have manually moving the sender finger and noting happens. Need some help

either the gauge it broke, wiring is broke , or the sender is broke

Is their anyway to troubleshoot this? It's a 2 hour ride to the dealer

          that's an interesting one.
The sender is a variable resistor, greatest resistance when full up, least when full down
so the gauge is essentially an "ohm meter"

if the wiring between them were "disconnected" one would expect the gauge to show full up
if it were "shorted" one would expect the gauge to read full down

          but halfway? hmm

So this is a new boat / new gauge / new engine?

has the trim gauge been working ?

or has it been like this from day one?
if so, I would be looking behind the gauge for overlooked wire connectors

This is a brand new Skeeter FX20LE. I don't believe this guage worked the first time out, but wouldn't bet my life on it.
My thoughts too on the guage reading.
