to answer your question on what alternator fits your truck:
its the one that was working fine that you removed to do some preventative maintenance, and while doing so, stripped the thread of the tensioner bracket that mounts to the engine block, and now find yourself having to dismantle the entire engine so that you can get the block to a machining shop where they will turn up a dowel on the lathe so that you can drill out the hole perfectly straight and put in a helicoil.
